2019 LIFE MEMBER - HELEN HITCHCOCK

Way back in 2013, when current president Sharee Hitchcock first had the idea of a new netball club, she approached Helen and presented the concept. There was no hesitation from Helen who quickly began brainstorming possible names.

Helen then secured the clubs first sponsor, T&H STEEL Contractors, hence the name STEELERS. Even as an avid Eagles supporter, Helen was the main mastermind behind the uniform, the T&H STEEL anchor and Dockers purple. She worked tirelessly to get quotes for the best possible price and quality for the uniform we know and love today.

Soon after, Helen secured our second sponsor, RLEC Electrical, and by her hard work STEELERS had it's name, uniform and two amazing sponsors.

Leaving her past club was difficult, but Helen put her heart and soul into starting this new adventure and before anyone knew it she had registered the first STEELERS team for the NETFEST competition in Queensland. With Helen as water girl, STEELERS played its first ever game.

The club had it's first season at WDNA in 2014. Helen was a member of the inaugural committee as Club Registrar, but she worked tirelessly behind the scenes and was a vital part in the club becoming incorporated. 

From the first idea to start a netball club to now, Helen is considered the backbone of STEELERS Netball Club. She still holds a committee position, of which she fulfills with an eye for detail, and is always around to help out any member of the club, committee or otherwise.

There is no-one more deserving for the clubs first ever life membership.


2020 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

STEELERS AGM for 2020 will be on February 2nd from 2pm - 2.30pm. This year our AGM will be held at the Kingsway Rugby Club, with doors open from 1.30pm.


There will be registrations and uniforms available to try on after the AGM from 3pm - 5pm.

2020 WINTER SEASON REGISTRATION INFO

Registrations for the 2020 Winter season are now OPEN!.


This year STEELERS registrations will all be through the online portal of MyNetball. To register online you will need your MyNetball number. Returning STEELERS members can find this number on your previous team list. New members will need to either contact Netball WA or your previous club for your number. If you are new to netball and do not have a MyNetball number, you can create a new one.

All registrations must be received prior to our AGM on Sunday 2nd February 2020. Registrations will only be accepted after the AGM with a non refundable $50 deposit of fees paid.


Credit/Debit card payments will be available at the AGM.


Please note that registration acceptance is subject to numbers and fee deposits being paid. Registrations with payments received at or prior to our AGM will be given preference over late or unpaid registrations. 


Please read the Medical Disclaimer and Code of Conduct before you complete the registration form. ALL players under 18 years of age must have a Parent or Guardian complete the registration form. 


You will receive an acceptance email once your position with the club has been approved.
